I am planning to move from Memphis, TN to Connecticut next summer. The rents there seem astronomical thoough. My present budget will probably allow for a rent of no more than $900-950 a month. We need at least a 2bdr 2bath. My daughter uses a wheelchair and we'll need a place that has wheelchair access and no stairs. I've been looking at Stamford. Our family lives in the Bronx and Elmsford, NY areas. I drive but like to take the train into the city. I have a teaching and real estate license and am looking into going to nursing school to make sure I can find a job. Feel free to contact me about rentals or jobs. My daughter will be 21 and wants to work. She has Cerebral Palsy. She is intelligent and social as well as pretty. Her job possibilities are limited I know. She would make a great model for durable equipment (wheelchairs etc.) catalogs. She also wants to attend some post secondary school or college. We are open to suggestions.

You won't be able to find anything within a reasonable distance of Stamford at that price point. The only thing i could suggest would be to explore the public housing options that may(?) be available for those with disabilities.

I have to agree with the PP, anywhere in CT let alone Stamford would be hard at that price point for a 2bed and 2bath.
Perhaps you could consider another state ??? As it sounds like you don't have a job lined up anyway.
Perhaps you could try areas of New York....

Good Luck!
