Is there other HGTV activity going on in Hartford? I'm currently flying from ATL to Hartford and Vern Yip is sitting across the aisle from me...

I used to love Vern Yip!

Yup, I did.

I didn't know he was still on TV.

Default House Hunters in CT -NOW

There is a House Hunters on HGTV right now (10pm) that takes place in West Hartford. I figured maybe someone would be interested as I've never seen an episode in CT before.

It's re-airing Friday at 1 am for any of you late nighters.

KH02 - I merge your post with the previous one that was running on this topic.

I just watched the episode. It was definitely filmed months ago. The people were wearing short sleeved shirts and the trees and grass were bright green. That is something we have not seen for a while around here. All in all I would say it was a very good episode. There were great shots of West Hartford including Lasalle Road and Farmington Avenue in the center. There were also shots of town hall, the library, Noah Webster's statute and some of the churches. I was surprised that there were no shots of Blue Back Square or West Farms Mall but I guess those would go against the small town feel they were trying to portray.

The homes were all nice with a lot of character, something that many homes on this show often lack. It always killed me when on earlier shows filmed in California how people made a big fuss about some simple window trim and would say "look at the detail". The homes picture all had the character we here in New England expect to find in most homes. I would definitely say I enjoyed it. Jay

I agree Jay. Does anyone know when the other CT House Hunters are due to air? I would love to watch them.

House Hunters is on so many times during the week and they show so many different places you never know when an episode featuring Connecticut will be shown. There are so few and some were filmed a long time ago so they may not even be showing them anymore. You could check the HGTV website but I do not think that will tell you much. Jay

Darn, we missed the West Hartford HH!!! We did see the girl who looked at a beautiful home in Bristol, and a newer house somewhere. (They are somewhat vague about locations.)
I hope they replay it!
