Hi,

Has anyone lived there or know someone who has lived there? What's the make up of the tenants? How's the sound in the apartments? Any problems with noise or any other problems there....etc? Please tell me as much as you can.

Thank You!

As a paramedic working in Hartford for 7 years I've never been in there. I wonder about it too when I pass by haha. I suppose it is a good thing that I've never had to go in, as most of the crappy places I usually visit multiple times per week. Sorry I can't give more information than that. The corner of main and charter oak there isn't too bad of an area. If you head south a little bit that area by park and main is kinda crappy but I think it can be avoided.

Hartford Medic,

Thanks for that piece of information. I drove around the area, the location is not that bad. That building is probably as far away from Downtown as you would want to be. Any farther, it might get scary.

I knew someone who lived there about 9 years ago and I visited a bunch of times. The apartments were nice, common areas clean, 24 hour concierge, all visitors had to sign in. I think there was an underground garage too. I parked on the street and never had a problem.

Come on now! Do you even know Hartford? It is a city and has typical urban issues. Parts of it are bad but downtown is generally safe as is the West End and a lot of other neighborhoods. Jay

If you believe that, I am assuming you take shelter in the suburbs, never venturing out to an urban area anywhere in the world because all cities have some less desirable neighborhoods with higher incidents of crime. To me, that is a sad way to go through life.

Again, you must not spend much time in urban areas if you think Allyn Street in Hartford is terrible. Stating "Hartford is a scary place" is ignorant and blatantly false. If you said "Hartford has some scary neighborhoods" then I would agree. But the whole city? Wrong.
