Its for Tracks and Overhead wires.... Its Infastrature which leads to economic booms in dying parts of CT. Why is when roads get funding , no one makes a peep , but when rail gets funding people cry foul? Rail is used by alot in CT , why not open the rest of the state up to that?

You totally missed my point. More than $30M is needed to make even a minuscule dent in high speed rail. I'm all for it.

Btw, there aren't exactly many "dying" parts of CT.

Its not HSR , its Regional / Intercity Rail.... politicians like the to use HSR because it sounds nicer but thats far from the truth. But not giving the NE states billions for building out a system while giving smaller populated states is bother some....and makes me angry. The NE states have passengers and population to support a large scale system , most studies are done....all you need is funding... There are some Dying parts of CT that could use faster Rail service or Rail service , like along the Waterbury line or up the Knowledge corridor.

That article isn't a "news story", it's one big editorial. Which isn't a big surprise, since to quote from the site's "about" page:

"The Blaze is a news, information and opinion site brought to you by Glenn Beck and a dedicated team of writers, journalists & video producers."

I agree. It seems that the Obama administration is more interested in building fancier new trains to show off to the world than build upon an already successful program. Very frustrating. Jay
