I'm flying up to New Haven for a job interview in a couple of weeks. Unless something goes badly wrong or they low-ball me on the salary, I'm seriously considering taking it. I own a house in the Dallas are but I want a rental for a while. I own four large, crated-trained, agility-trained dogs, which I know is an issue. Any ideas about rental units in the area--I don't mind driving or taking public transportation; just don't want to get in the 'bad' parts of the area.

You might have to rent a house. check craigslist.com for listings. Also the New Haven Register. Milford is a nice small city located just west of New Haven. Another option might be North Haven. If you don't have concerns about schools also consider East Haven or West Haven. Good luck and welcome. Jay
