I almost got TiBoned like 5 times this weekend by people who just fly outta parking lots, side streets, etc. And did not even slow down or yield... WTF!

I was in the Hartford area and experienced the same thing in Springfield as well. What can be done so the people aren't killed by people driving like a bat out of hell?! Geesh!

I've never been to a state where that doesn't happen.

I've found it to be more prevalent in CT and MA than in TX. The way people run red lights is completely insane here.

I agree.

As someone who regularly travels to many different states for business, I can guarantee you that a-hole drivers exist in every state I have spent any amount of time in. CT and Mass. certainly do not have that market cornered.

I disagree with the "it happens in every state"... I'm from VA... There are VISIBLE stop signs that indicates you MUST stop... And people stop... Even in parking lots...not here

Here...none... I just went through a town called Longmeadow in MA... Absolutely ZERO stop signs on the side streets and people just pull onto the main road at their own risk...didn't even yield or slow down...

I've also traveled all over the US and it is Ri-damn-diculous! Lol

The people who say they've never been to a state where this doesn't happen, well I've spent LOTS of time in multiple states and can say, it's worse here. I've lived in NC, traveled to a huge portion of this country (TX, VA, CA, etc etc) and nowhere is it more of a zoo driving than it is in the Northeast. It's ridiculous here; when one lane slows on the highway, people will swing into the next and expect you to slam on your brakes.

I do have to say that it's more prevalent in the lower class areas. Who hasn't had that 1989 rusted Toyota Corolla with a non-English-speaking, 4 foot tall driver putt in front of you last minute, only to go about 7mph in front of you.

Yeah, people are careless in CT, and unfortunately, I think it's due to a massive influx of illegal immigrants. I didn't notice such poor driving habits in NC, or anywhere else for that matter.

I dunno man, every time I'm in VA I want to pull my hair out. What's with camping out in the left lane going 60mph next to a car in the right lane going 59.8mph on a two lane highway? What about that do you folks not get?

(And don't get me started on the DC area.)

Hmm. I don't think it's immigrants, at least not down here in Ffld county. I find it to be pretty common among people in fancy cars who apparently think they're above the law.

Now, back in TX, we used to see a lot of people driving incredibly slow in beat-up trucks, and fairly or not, we assumed they were immigrants who didn't have insurance and couldn't afford to be pulled over for speeding.
