Aside from New London and Windham amounts will be less than thought for the rest of us. Wasnt supposed to be over 3 anyway.

Current temps and radar. Its funny when Long Island gets snow but not Westchester County or CT. lol Up to 3 inches over Long Island and 2 inches in southern NJ.

Heads up if your travelling to southeastern MA tomorrow. Gonna be a mess most likely

This system and the prior from last Thursday/Friday have been compete misses. No need to downplay.

Friday-Saturday January 25-26, 2013 Snowstorm Update

Take your pick.... Euro shows a foot of snow from NYC to Boston.. GFS shows a couple of inches.

Here's the latest Euro. Powerhouse Nor'Easter bombing out to a 988mb low near the capes. Temps in the 20s and temps aloft in the teens.

Friday lunch all through Saturday lunch time

But you were right when you said a while ago CAm, shots of cold air, then moderation. So here comes a shot of cold air this week, then moderation next week which will melt quite a bit of what we get Friday afternoon. As for this event, just a light dusting in Glastonbury, actually brushed it off my truck with one swipe of the scraper, very light and dry.

Now waiting to see what February brings, looks pretty mellow weather wise for a while after Friday's system exits.

Couldn't agree more. Sorry if my comments may have been misinterpreted. Cam is the man (bad cliche). Just wondering what models are fizzling as of late. Cold air is definitely in force!

I think I also said I dont see big storms coming up which Euro proves me wrong. But the moderation might just be seasonable. Especially if there's a snowpack down, its going to be hard for the temps to moderate.

Current wind chill values. Feels like single digits out there. I'm shocked my furnance didnt turn on yet.

Correct me if Im wrong but isn't the GFS usually correct? The euro is usually a bit exaggerated?

I'm no expert, but I was under the impression the Euro has a better track record.
