So now the question is, how much money did Malloy give Amazon to come to CT? And if they didnt get any money, how much do they NOT have to pay in taxes? I'd be willing to be its more than $50 million...

I think Amazon's benefit is that they know the sales tax thing isn't going to go away, and in the big picture, a local shipping center that can get CT buyers shipments same-day or next-day is much more valuable to them.

While it would be nice to get things faster, I absolute despise the idea of giving more of my money to the government, whether it be federal, state or local.
More revenue will not result in a better disciplined government. It will result in more spending, more bs programs. Sometimes I really wonder sometimes how some people even get by in this state. This state would be better served if we curbed our spending, lowered public workers salaries/benefits, no money to illegals. This state taxes us enough already. They tax us on anything and everything. Some of the highest cost of living, and for what? I dont see my money being put to good use. I would rather keep more of it. I earned it.

I didn't like it until I heard that they will have a facility here. I think that makes it about even, I also order most of my products from Amazon, simply because they are cheaper than any local store.
