Cold front comes through today.
Inverted trough may setup tonight and bring snow showers
Clipper on Tuesday maybe bringing snow
Coastal storm Easter weekend maybe.

Active pattern continues and winter not done. Might as well make it a 3 month season and make April Cold and Snowy too. lol

A clipper... A clipper this time of year? Nuts And cold enough to snow?

Tuesday morning Euro has it over Michigan. Snowy day for them.

By 2am Wednesday morning its directly over NYC. Snowing across CT. 1-3"

GFS says blizzard conditions next weekend. Strong and Juicy coastal storm. Boston the bullseye.

DO NOT TAKE STOCK IN NEXT WEEKEND YET!

What?! I was hoping to get out and enjoy the warmer temps if it stopped raining. And we still have snowcover in many areas of the yard. Our backyard is still solid white.

Radar & temps on left.
Metars & 850 temps on right.

Mid Levels cooling below freezing. The freezing line is moving towards the coast (part of front) So you can see western CT is below freezing at 4500' hence the wet snowflakes now mixing in.

Don't worry, I won't.

I'm still a little upset though.

That's it... The front is off the CT coast...

There's the digging trough with very cold temps at the mid levels. 1028mb Canadian High dropping in.

12z balloon launch in Nashville confirms its below freezing above 4300 feet there..
In Atlanta it's over 10,000 feet.

Roanoke its over 3900 feet. You can see why the Virginia mountains are getting snow. Moisture with the front and crashing temps up there.

Atmospheric Soundings

So we stay cool/cold until this trough swings out which will be by Monday. Scattered moisture inside the cold trough so scattered snow showers will be around and yes... Lake Effect Snows.

Pinks indicate single digits at 4000 feet going over Lakes = Lake Effects

Also, great to point out that without a Polar Vortex in southern Canada, these troughs can swing in and out and the cold doesn't last long.

Have to see if that PV drops down again for mid month. I think we see cool/normal shots 1st half of April. After that its a wait and see.
