Milford is what I consider an urban suburb. Urban not in the crime-ridden, inner-city sense, but definitely bigger, busier and more amenities than less populated areas nearby, and IMO a pretty good place for a young person.

Currently, my salary has been bumped up to $77K plus $17K bonus, for a total of $94K and let me tell you....it is still not enough to afford a decent house within reasonable commute to Stamford. I will be moving out in two months and taking all of the money I earned/saved here to another state and investing in property in that other state.

So, a paralegal should be able to get by just fine anywhere outside of Fairfield County (FFC). FFC is the county located in southwestern CT. It contains the cities of Stamford, Norwalk and Bridgeport. Bridgeport is very reminiscent of Detroit, so please don't move there.
Okay! I will definitely try to steer clear of there! Thank you for the advice!

So I am definitely thinking that milford would be perfect for me and I would look to find a job in New Haven. Does anyone have any info on paralegals or legal assistants? How jobs are for them and how the salaries are for New Haven? Again thanks for all the replies!
