I wish that Amtrak/CT Rail would expand service from New Haven to Hartford overnight. Right now if you don't get into New Haven before 10:55 pm you have no way to get to Hartford until 5:55 am the next morning. Anyone taking a flight into JFK and needing to get to Hartford (or north) via Grand Central is pretty much out of luck if their plane lands much past 6 pm (5 pm if international). For those traveling from Hartford to NYC for the day you need to be on the 8 pm train out of Grand Central to safely make the last connection in New Haven via CT Rail at 10:55 pm.

Avelo is still adding routes from NH. They just added Houston, St Louis and Traverse City.
Slowly expanding west. Won't be long before the west coast is added.

I am hoping for Las Vegas. (I don't know if runway expansion has to happen first).

Breeze's daily nonstop to Las Vegas seems to be doing great, with high loads every time I'm on it-- But I'd love to be able to fly to Las Vegas out of New Haven.

Houston is great-- I'll be using that flight as well. I just hope frequencies improve. These twice-a-week flights often mean returning to NY, which means I only have the convenience of NY one way.

In don't think a longer runway is needed, an A320 can reach Vegas

Avelo has 737's-- not A320s. The 737's CAN reach Las Vegas-- The question is can they load enough fuel and passengers with the limited runway length to make the route profitable. If it's weight restricted with the current runway length, it's unlikely to work. The longer runways would allow Avelo to fill passengers and carry more fuel, which can avoid diversions in bad weather, etc.

Breeze has A220's which are awesome aircraft from the passenger perspective.

Right, I get them and Spirit mixed up. Same thing, basically Boeing's A320s. Semantics.
Good point on the fuel, didn't think of that. Passengers would be full either way.

Look at the second link. The cost is .85 cents to $4.00. It looks like very low income, people with disabilities and seniors over 60 are free in some towns/cities.
