Does anyone know the parking situation for Metro North train stations around the Greenwich area? i.e. Greenwich, Old Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside and PortChester train stations. How long is the wait to get a monthly parking spot? And without monthly, how hard is it to find a spot at 7 or 7:30 am in the morning?

Also, how drivable is it at rush hour to get to the station? Ex: if you lived in CosCob and wanted to get the Old Greenwich station.
OR if one lived in Old Greenwich and wanted to catch a train in Stamford.

Kristin is the resident Greenwich expert, but there is the horseneck parking lot with 5 bucks a day.

The cheapest parking lot in the area happens to be Noroton/Darien, with three bucks a day and their voucher system. You can even go at 10 in the morning and find parking space in Noroton, as long as you have the voucher.

Otherwise, 5 bucks is the standard parking in Greenwich. If you had to drive from Cos Cob to Noroton in morning traffic, it would not be too bad as long as you can get to the highway on time. The whole area is a cluster F for commuters, and it's not gonna get any better.

When Chamataka's portfolio explodes to billions of bucks, he's buying himself a jet or a chopper which will land on the helipad in Chamataka Tower in Manhattan Only then will my commute get any better

P.S: I have put my name on the roll for parking in Greenwich, Rye, Noroton and Darien. I will hopefully get it before my second kid's Holy Communion. I have no girlfriend at the moment. So you do the Math, Chief

That bad eh? I actually have my name on the Stamford wait list for over a year. I called last month and I am approx 420 on the list - and they claim its only a year away.
Who's Kristin BTW?

She'll be here soon

Stamford, huh? That station is a hell hole. For the sake of my mental health, I try not to catch the train from there I like the tranquility of other stations

A year and a half ago I put my name on the Old Greenwich and Cos Cob wait lists for parking passes. I received both notices rather quickly. I got Old Greenwich earlry this year and Cos Cob just a month or two ago. I have since turned both down as I don't need them any longer. The wait for this is pretty short I found since I had both offered to me within a year.

Is this for real?

I'm on the Darien/Noroton waiting list, then Greenwich, then Rye. All of them are 10 year waiting lists

Should I look into Cos Cob? I hear it's a boring train station with little entertainment (as in coffee/sandwich shops)

I'd put your name on any list you can.

I used to commute from Cos Cob and there was not much going on. If you prefer large stations with "entertainment", go with Greenwich or Stamford.

My name came up for a parking permit at the cos cob station a couple months ago after a year and a half of waiting which wasn't bad at all. I turned the pass down as I didn't need it but was impressed with the wait time.

I recently started my commute from Manhattan to Greenwich. I am thinking to commute by train and park a car near the Greenwich train station to go to my work place. I have been trying to get to Propark in the station, but I haven't got any response. Can anybody help me out, please? Thanks!
