Which is why I suggested maybe using ranches as comparables. There just may not be very many closed sales of raised ranches or splits. I do agree with you that ranches are getting more and more popular these days. Lots of people just don't want to do stairs and a ranch with an attached garage is attractive.

Updated splits with 2500+ SFT are going for 1m+ in Westport. The raised ranch the OP is looking cannot be updated at 850k.

in the Main Level, has 4 Bedrooms, Kitchen, Living Room, Family Room and 2 Bths.
Lower Level has 1 family room, 1 bedroom, 1 office, garages and other spaces.
Looks really nice. Needs some cosmetics but no big deal. Looks like lower level has a kitchenette for an inlaw possibility which is very sought after these days around here. 30 days on market, this will sell soon, go for it.

Hi, Guys:

Thanks for all the reply and great info.

One more question here,

I can see there is not much good size of Back Yard for this house, (in the Back it has a 4 Season Room, a small Deck, some space below it with Tile and Little white rocks. After these, It's a small hill, can not see the property on the other side.)
Has 2 Side Yards, and 1 big Front yard, All leveled.
from the 4 Season Room Windows can watch over the 2 Side yards tho, while kids playing there.

Any idea or suggestion?

Thanks,
Bin

What is your question? I am not sure I understand what you are asking here. Jay

Oh, Sorry,
my question is, will this Yard layout be a big issue or concern?

Thanks,
Bin

It is less than ideal but if it works for you, it should be fine. Again some may view it as a deal breaker when you go to sell but that would be reflected in its sale price as most things are. Jay

Ok, Thank you JayCT,

Btw,
As we can see CT's economy is not in the best shape right now, and Dan Malloy in Hartford looks maybe is not doing his best job. Altho he is not running for 2018.

The Big companies are leaving, people are moving out, Tax is Hiking, de-funding on schools and teachers etc.
is kind worried me,
I'm not really sure, hope thing could get better in the future.

Would like your opinion, Is it still good to buy a house in CT?
especially expensive one in Westport?

Thanks,
Bin

Despite all the doom and gloom you see on the news and this forum, Connecticut is still a great place to live. The only big company that has left recently is GE which moved only 200 of the 800 corporate headquarter jobs out of Fairfield. Most of the rest were moved to Norwalk. I don't think this should necessarily play into your decision on whether to buy or not.

Also Stamford and Norwalk are still the home to thousands of jobs that are attracting people to live here. New York City is still a massive employment center and a lot of workers there live in Westport. Only you can decide if you should buy now or not. Jay
