If anything Irma proved that the models couldn't tell which coast it'd hit, pretty much proves it could hit nj, nyc, or boston at this point.

Overall, the models were pretty accurate with Irma. Concerning Jose, at this point the probability of a direct hit on CT is low. No panic necessary.

Yeah, they definitely were good considering margin of error and days out and most importantly a feature coming from Canada last minute. Sometimes theres an extra player on the field that throws off the result and its not known till couple days out.

But given south Floridas width is like100 miles +/- and it was coming from due south, it made it tough to know which side. They finally got west side of Florida only 48hrs before was it? But some hints were there before then.

At worst this will be like a bad winter nor'easter. It won't even be a trop storm if it did get to the coast. Not an issue for inlanders. The coast may well see more beach erosion and their could be some flooding if it times well with high tide.

Maria got that south latitude track we should worry about. Euro actually merges it with Jose near us in 10 days. Lol
GFS has it seperate and hits in NC recent runs.
