Well, at least we're not on this list.


I usually do Top 30 snowiest locations, lets do the opposite. Top 30 sites that are the most below normal with snowfall to date.


Just to list a few:

Boston with only 1.8" of snow is -19.4" below normal to date.
Worchester 16.2" of snow is -15.3" below normal
South Bend with 27.4" is still a foot below normal there.
Pendleton with only 0.7" normal is 10.7"
Kodiak only a Trace??





BTW - Erie, PA and Providence, RI are #31 & 32.
Erie with 51.6" is still -10" below normal.
Providence with only 7.9" so far this season.


If it wasn't for that November storm, more Northeast sites would be on here like Islip, NYC, Bridgeport, ect.

Wednesday morning maybe some snow otherwise that seems like the last chance for 2 weeks.


When is it too late to wave that flag? Just one of those winters

2 Polar Vortex visits and then.... Winds off the Ocean = warm surface = no big snowstorm for CT mid this week. Northern Litchfield County might see 6"+ this week!

Aloft, polar vortex one quickly lifts across eastern Canada,
while another descends south from central Canada and into the
Upper Midwest. This will reinforce arctic behind a storm system
tracking across the Great Lakes today.

As has been the case with recent systems, an onshore flow will
warm the boundary layer with critical 1000-850mb thicknesses
supporting rain across most of the area by Tuesday afternoon
except the far interior. By early evening, all but far western
sections of the Lower Hudson Valley will be rain. Models are
though in good agreement with a transition back to snow from
west to east through the evening with the potential for
advisory level snow (3 to 5 inches) across upper portions of the
Lower Hudson Valley and western Passaic in NJ. Across the
remainder of the interior with exception of SE CT, 1-2 inches,
and an inch or less at the coast. The precipitation tapers off
during the early morning hours. However, there is still some
uncertainty and confidence was not sufficient to issue any
winter weather hazards at this time.

Snowfall total Forecast tomorrow and Wednesday. New England hogging the cold and snow!! Maine record snows already.
