My wife came home today complaining that she has to work at her Hartford Branch tomorrow and the parking is $20...that she'll eventually get reimbursed for.... I said "take the magic bus. I can drop you off in New Britain or Newington..." She works at basically the corner of Asylum and Trumbull.... I can't even find out if she can get dropped off close to there.... she is partially disabled and if it's more than 100yds, no deal.... The $20 lot is right behind her work.

There is a free bus that runs a loop downtown called "DASH" it includes a stop at union station or where ever else the fast track bus stops downtown.

A lot of the LAZ garages have early bid special - $12. In before 9AM and out before 6PM, but that may be out of her walking distance. Can't you get the lot on Asylum for $10?

It appears to be a walk of less than 200 feet.

Looks like the Magic Bus stops on Asylum next to the XL Center (I almost wrote Civic Center, I'm so dated at 55). Her branch is across Trumbull on the same corner. But she does have problems with steps. I know that at the stations it's a level walk on , walk off.... what about at the stops? She's got mobility issues.. Anyhow, her big gripe is that she has to pay the parking fee up front, then expense it. Not her regular branch, so she gets reimbursed. The daily people assigned to the branch.... they eat it.

The closest thing to magic are the “ridership” numbers we’re being given by Hartford.

How on earth do you look at a street on the CT Transit site and see which buses service that street?
