Hey hey so doing some house hunting and research. Trying to decide if it would be better commute wise to look into buying a house in the Hartford or Bridgeport area 3 days a week.

By next Fall or Spring of 2020 going to be going to Hartford 3 days a week. Bridgeport 3 to 4 days a week.

Curious what do you think be the best commute Hartford to Bridgeport or Bridgeport to Hartford? Better off meeting in the middle in a town such as Wallingford.

Appreciate the feedback.

It depends on what works better for you and your spouse, Waterbury or New Haven. Wallingford is a great town and would be about half way between Bridgeport and Hartford. North Haven would also be good as would Cheshire. I know that you know the Waterbury area so I won’t make a suggestion for there. Good luck with the decision. Jay.

Make sure to factor in cost of commuting into your budget.

If you lived in New Haven you could commute by train either way.

You’re not going to have days off? Wallingford is a good suggestion.

We were thinking Thomaston/Plymouth

Take 6 and 8.

Wanting to avoid Waterbury we could save up to $3 to $4 thousand in savings due to car taxes & car insurance being less.
