Channel 30 tonight says the upcoming storm will start Sunday morning and continue through Monday into a Tuesday morning. That one hell of a storm but when they go to the national map it only shows a few small storms out in the southwestern Midwest. If this is supposed to be such a long lasting storm, where is it coming from? I must be missing something. Jay

Here we go....... 1st one of the season and should be a biggy. Since the end of September there has been a crazy amount of snowstorms in the U.S. Never remember seen this many so early to be honest.

Check out the radar map in the morning. Blizzard warnings and winter warnings are up for Northern plains/Mid west. Check out the total for MN/WI this weekend. That's our energy/storm. It will come East while picking up some Gulf moisture I believe then a new storm off the coast will form so more moisture around PLUS Upper Level Vortex will be over us which will create more instability(precip).

Hope that all of you are well!

Meteorological winter starts on Sunday December 1, 2019 and ends on February 29, 2020!

Count those snowflakes, winter as in snowstorms (just guessing) will be ending early as the accumulating snow is coming early so it can eventually take an earlier vacation.

91 days of meteorological winter snow wishing but be careful what you wish for - lets see how it goes.

Different pieces of energy slowing down. Basically as the first piece of energy goes off the coast, two more pieces interact and reform near the coast again. All of these are housed under the upper-level low pressure. That's all I can type out on my phone + understand, hope it helps

Keep telling my wife this. She says too bad.

Favorite winter sport....complaining about winter. I feel like I’ll be making the MVP slot this year.
