My younger sister and her husband have been home schooling their kids for years in Simsbury despite the fact we were a product of the public schools there. No issue with home schooling exists in Simsbury.

Great to know! Thanks for the feedback.

We are headed to the Simsbury Inn tommorow for a week to make our final decision. I will check this forum regularly in case there are other posts.

Again, thank you all for your help.

Default Settled on Simsbury - Thanks for the help!

Thanks, everyone, for the helpful info. We bought a home in Simsbury and have already connected with a few homeschooling families and found a place for our horse.

Looking forward to enjoying the beautiful Farmington Valley once again!

Best regards.

If your sister has a middle school daughter and wants to connect, I'd be thrilled. Is there a way for us to communicate directly outside this forum?

In any event, thanks for the info!

Default Farmington Valley or farther afield for Relo?

We are also considering a job move to CT (job in middletown) and looking for good schools, etc. notice you are looking for Unitarian church, so are we, did you look up congregations in the area at Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations It looks like there are several choices.

Interesting to hear suggestions about east of hartford vs. west....

Since you chose Simsbury, I suspect you've already found the optimal commute to East Hartford -- the important aspect is to avoid Hartford. Cottage Grove takes you from Bloomfield directly to South Windsor, which bypasses downtown.
