well do not become discouraged AFK

Do PM me and I will try and find more information for you.
Where are you coming from? Perhaps apartments are cheaper there then here- the Northeast has expensive costs for apartments.

In any case PM and we can discuss more- be positive!

AKF: Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner I was away from my computer for a bit.

Manchester Green isn't that bad actually - on the East side of town, close to main street, abutted to a school and surrounded by single family neighborhoods.

There are others around here but as I mentioned on PM, you are not really going to find them on rent.com or whatever.

You also have the option of renting from a private owner...that really is your best bet IMO. You might be able to find an owner of a 3 family house that rents out two floors. I would line up a bunch of appointments in town and then come for a visit and go on a blitz and get aquanted with the place.

Depending on where your hubby will end up and will be commuting too will also have bearing on what side of town you should live in. If he does go to Middletown, Vernon might be a bit of a stretch.

I would also try and stay with easy access to 384 and not 84 for traffic reasons. Coming out of the city and connecting highways in the afternoon 84 is always busy but the right two lanes going to 384 are ALWAYS clear and you just breeze by the traffic. Same for 291 as it connects directly to 384. It will save at least 10-15 minutes on the commute.

Out of the ones you listed Manchester Green is decent, especially if it's just temporary till you find a home.

I believe everyone is forgetting the Cheney Mills apartments in Manchester. Clocktower Mill / Velvet Mill / Ribbon Mill are what they are called I believe. 1bed will run you $750-900. They are the nicest places in the area. 12-15 foot high ceilings and amazing inside.

Nah, told her about it on PM. Good call though...their 1 bedrooms can almost be considered a two bedroom with the big old lofts above the kitchen and living area.

Check craigslist.com for listings. There are many apartments listed there. Jay
