My boyfriend will be starting his residency program in Farmington, CT. Therefore we will be moving there in July 2010.

I am looking for names of apartments that would be worthy to look at max rent: 1600/month preferably less.

I would also like to know what school systems are in the area, I have 4 years prior teaching experience in special education. I have worked in urban and suburban settings. I am trying to start the search early.

Thank you!

You will not find a lot of large scale apartment complexes here in Connecticut like you do in other parts of the country. There are mostly smaller and older complexes. That said, research apartments or condos for rent in Farmington and West Hartford which are convenient to the UConn medical complex where I assume your BF will be working. You should be able to find a nice place within your price range.

As for teaching there is a need for Special Education teachers in the state. I would suggest researching other posts on this board which dealt with this. Jay
