Gunmen abduct eight more girls in northeast Nigeria: police | Reuters

This is on top of the over 200 girls abducted there by the same group a few weeks ago. Where is the public outcry especially from women's groups? These girls simply wanted an education which their kidnappers oppose besides they plan on selling them as slaves and into forced marriage as such a young age.

The kidnappers have threatened to sell the 200 girls.

An example of a real war on women.

The women's groups sold out years ago.

Women's rights groups are speaking out about this. If you're not seeing it, you're not looking. Besides that, this is not a "Women's Rights" issue, this is a human rights issue, and everyone should be equally outraged and engaged.

In all fairness, Clooney got engaged a few days ago, and Kimye are scoping out wedding locations. Plus, the Clippers owner said some bad things. It's been a busy news week in topics that don't involve Islamic fanaticism and sex slavery.

So I guess it's understandable that the media have focused their attention elsewhere.

"who cares" that it's in Africa?!? A lot of people care. What an inhumanly coldhearted attitude. Wow, just wow.

I k now a lot of people care...and its a waste of time and money. Haiti and certain areas of Africa are just not redeemable. Lets focus on more important things.

Perhaps you need to seek out news sources other than the one you are so fond of.

Women for Peace is holding an organized march in Abuja on Wednesday, but the Nigerian women's organizations have been protesting all week.
