I think we should ban wealth and poverty, and also ignore any more non-news tabloid journalism about wealthy NBA basketball team owners and their inane utterings.
It seems the more we become racially one color (due to mixed race families), the more racism become an issue in the media. Do you feel that the media is driving the race issue? Perhaps its government? We should be more tolerant of others views, religions, ethnic diversions than ever before in our country's history but it seems to me to be getting worse.
Stirring up racism, or the perception of racism, is elitist propaganda used to ensure we're not looking at the man behind the curtain. The reality is that nearly all Americans are being played.
If anyone is really interested in some actual no holds barred racism, try visiting some of the Asian countries - they seriously despise anyone who is not of the preferred breed.
I think Americans are too hard on ourselves. I don't think many countries are as open as ours...we really roll out the red carpet. Somehow I have a feeling that if I had a child illegally in Mexico that free health care and schooling would not be in the cards for me.

I am not too sure I agree with you about becoming one color. But I do agree the media is responsible for constantly stirring up racial issues.
