i shouldn't have to stay off social media (thereby cutting myself off from some fairly important communication venues) so that people can dump ice water on their heads.
Ugh....people will crap on anything. Out of the blue people are donating to ALS who yesterday probably wouldnt have (and are having fun playing one-up) and SOMEHOW people manage to turn it into a bad thing.
Im not even going to comment on the whole "wasting water" opinion because that is too far fetched to be taken seriously.
It seems like any time someone is doing something for a good cause there is someone (or someoneS) using internet anonymity to tell us we are doing it wrong.
This seems as stupid as the pink bow for breast cancer.
I know alot of Men who donate for breast cancer, buy Pink shirts, boxers and bows...
How is this stupid?
My niece and Nephew's entire DoJo has donated to ALS, As well as most of my family after being challenged, it was fun.
It got all the little kids outside and running around acting like little loonies. (exercise) also most of the adults...
This is a good thing all you crab azzes..
In light of all the negitive crap going around social media right now... Riots and such.

And yet it was effective. Everyone knows the pink ribbon is for breast cancer. Susan G. Komen is probably one of the most widely recognized and largest cancer foundations in the US.
How does a bunch of rich people dumping water on their heads help people who are paralyzed and dying?
"Between July 29 and today, August 12, The ALS Association and its 38 chapters have received an astonishing $4 million in donations compared to $1.12 million during the same time period last year."

Not bad for something that doesn't cost anything to them, is it? Way better than fancy fund raiser dinners where half (or more) of the money collected goes to the fundraising organization to pay the costs.
