Horrible

3 girls trick-or-treating killed in hit-and-run

Quote:
The girls were in a crosswalk near an elementary school in Santa Ana when the SUV with two men inside hit them about 6:45 p.m., police and fire officials said.

The girls, whose names were not immediately clear, ranged in ages from 13 to 15, Orange County fire Capt. Steve Concialdi said. Two of them were declared dead immediately, and a third died as paramedics prepared to take her to a hospital, Concialdi said.

This sucks. I stated in the Halloween thread that bad drivers, not tainted candy, are the biggest dangers of trick or treating.

Want to make a bet that the driver was here Illegally, has a criminal record and has probably been deported in the past ?

The Govt would probably not tell us if they were.

I'd give it about a 75% chance that you're right, but you forgot to add that the driver was probably driving under the influence as well.

They were either a couple of Gang bangers or Illegals. Hopefully they get fingerprints out of the car.

If known, You think we will hear the details on the 2 men who escaped ?

Quote:
Police were seeking two men from an SUV that hit the girls, police Chief Carlos Rojas said at a media briefing. The SUV was found abandoned near the scene, but the suspects had not yet been found, Rojas said

I'm confused, in that the article says the girls were in the crosswalk, and later it says the SUV jumped the curb.

Very sad.

There are several incidences of hit-and-runs recounted in the article.

Edit:Not all hit-and-runs, but vehicle/pedestrian related accidents.
