Will the movement of protest behind the killing of Mike Brown and Eric Garner now be kill or crippled do to the tragic killings of the two NYPD police officers? Or was the movement already slowing momentum? Why or why not?

(no right or wrong answers but try to be civil)

The holidays, cold weather, and the fickle nature of the news cycle will have as much if not more impact on the waning of this round of protests than the murder of these officers, imo.

Depends on too many factors to even guess.

What is really sad beyond these policemen just doing their job and losing their lives for nothing is that the Police/Coloured People relations have been shook. What cop isn't going to hesitate and have a second thought when a person of colour approaches them.

I would not want to participate in any protests in NYC.

I imagine that the killing of those cops will indeed put a damper on the protests.

It might (hopefully) change tone.

And as always, if you actually look at photos videos of the protests where they're calling for dead cops, now it's not really a colored people issue. Plenty of white faces in those crowds as well. It's a class issue. Now that we actually have dead cops, maybe the tone changes. Or maybe they smell blood and it just escalates.

Protest leaders and Sharpton are really back pedaling, but have lost any credibility

Yup. And the last thing we need is another incident with a nervous cop.

I hope this all dies down soon.

I hope it dies down too, so i'm hoping winter would break it like it did to the occupy people but in the winter of 2011-12. As a democrat I think these protest don't make liberalism anymore apealing, and if they contune long enough if could really hamper 2016 for democrats.
