That's the very kind of situation that Al Sharpton would love to catch on video in a city in the United States.
If that had happened in the United States, we'd be see on continuous repeat and discussed by the so-called pundits from every possible angle 24/7 on CNN, MSNBC and FoxNews.
It's all about ratings and there are not too many things that will keep Americans glued to the news channels like some good old fashion racial conflict between the blacks and the whites.
Interesting. I don't recall seeing anyone say that only americans are racist.
Not Americans generally, only white Americans are racists - per the victim classes. I suspect you could further refine that to white conservative males are "the" American racists.
Black studies departments on many college campi are promoting in a big way the theory of white priveledge, and how even if white racism on an individual level is becoming more uncommon, the system is racist by the design of whites in power.
The disconnect is that if the "victim" is the arbiter of what is racist (or the latest iteration of -phobic), then basically, anything or any action is racist (or -phobic) based on the whim or interpretation of the "victim."
In addition, we've defined down racism from the ugly, unethical, and immoral exercise of power it used to be defined as, to basically the right of (any) minorities to not be offended (and they get to define what is offensive, whether intended or not by the "perp" - it's a bit of a moving target, actually), and not be held accountable, or to the same standards of conduct in civil society.
