There's a certain personality type that never quite gets over adolescent rebellion - they never grow up and apparently Mom spoiled the heck out of them. They are generally the ones who have an axe to grind against cops, against speed limits, against anything other than what they want to do when they want to do it. You see a lot of that kind of Peter Pan attitude in speed limit discussions on this forum and in the cops are all bad discussions. They don't realize what they're putting out there for all the world to see and that it's so obvious they might as well have flashing lights on it.

The cop in the video was clearly buthurt. His superiors were clearly buthurt. Thats why they released the video. If they were only interested in promoting school zone safety, they could have done a nice friendly video on the importance of slowing down in school zones. But instead they decided to release a video of an old woman ranting about how she understands why people want to shoot them. Because they are buthurt. The vast majority of Americans no longer support the police. Most people don't like the police. deal with it.
You are wrong. People like yourself have issues with cops because you just don't know how to behave in society. Other people who hates the police are other criminals, people in prison and in jail. You know the type. I understand, If I was like that I would hate the police too.
I have been pulled over for speeding. Yes it sucks and yes I was not happy with the cop. However, I sure as hell wouldn't say something so nasty and evil like this dumb ***** in the car. And for you to defend her says allot about you.

If you watched the long version of the video you could see that there were no kids present to get run over. She can't endanger kids, that aren't there.
If the cop really wanted people to slow down in the school zone, he wouldn't be out there in an unmarked car. He would be there in a fully marked car with a light bar on top. Everybody would be slamming on their brakes the second they would see him. But the gutless coward cop was hiding in an unmarked car, because he didn't want people to slow down. He wanted to write out as many $600 tickets as possible. He was just doing what he was trained to do. Policing for profit. Police are nothing but revenue agents for the government.

I take my son to school everyday and people are speeding by the school , don't even bother to slow down. They barely stop at the school crossing. THE ONLY TIME they stop is when there is a cop there. In other words, people like you are sitting in those cars don't give a damn about the safety of others. The only thing you people care about is you. The fact that there even has to be a cop there in order for people to take the school zone speed limits seriously is just really sad.

One of the cop's duties is to uphold the law. Being on the alert for law breakers, so called "speed traps", etc are not processes that are "out to get you", they're there for the taking if you're stupid enough to disobey the law. No one is forcing you to break the law.....you take that choice every time you get behind the wheel.

is about raising awareness of police presence in the community even when/if you don't SEE them right now ...

Require the cops to have the light bar turned on 24/7 so we can know they're here now … ???
… and so ... if we DON'T see the Perpetual Emergency Lights that means it is okay to drive as fast as we want, run red lights, go the wrong way on a one way street … ???

Well see, what you just said is just dumb. School zones drop the speed limit from something like 45-50mph down to 10-15. Sometimes people forget that. Sometimes they need an extra special reminder. If you want to jump to some stupid extreme that cops need to ride round lights flashing everywhere all day, than there's no point in trying to talk to you on an adult level.
They park unmarked cars around these just like they do around speed traps - some other place with a road that has an inordinately low speed limit. Like on rural highways where the limit is 55-65 but suddenly goes to 25 when you get near some one stoplight town. That is a about revenue generation and nothing more.
