Same old, it's a terrible American tradition. Maybe if everyone had guns we'd all be safer - oh, that's right, in relative terms (compared with other developed countries) everyone 'does' have guns. See the result.
This is indeed a sad event. More information on who, what, and why will be coming later.
This is not the time to politicize the event, but since you started. Maybe if students were allowed to carry-shooter might have been neutralized.
Heck, the deranged guy probably could have slaughtered just as many -- or even more -- with a straightened paper clip, yes … ??? (hint: very easy to conceal, never jams or misfires, doesn't need to be reloaded …)
*shudder*
Just think of the carnage that a stapler could cause.
I can not confirm that this is real, but it seems more than likely real to me from what I have researched.
Supposedly he posted a warning last night on the web.

Or how about you just wish condolences, thoughts and prayers to those involved? We could start there instead of all you assonauts trying to score political points to prove "your" side of whatever inane argument is "right".
Sometimes the vapid inanity and disgustingness of this place shocks even me.
If you want to thank anyone thank the founding fathers.
No … They clearly wrote the Second Amendment to maintain a "well-reguilated militia," not to provide an endless unregulated supply of guns and ammo to deranged gun nuts ...

I understand your sentiment, but on the other hand what happens to real people is relevant to policy.
That's true, but the policy of having an armed society was made more than two centuries ago, and while we can debate ad nauseum about the merits of that policy, or about how we should revise that policy, the fact is that in the process of debate, we tend to forget that these victims were living, breathing individuals, with families, with futures. Mourning the victims, and caring for those who survived, should be the first priority. And using the victims as political fodder is not doing either of those two things.
