The OP posted a story on Salon.com. Who are they a hair cut place that loves to gossip? What is the Internet doing to people?

Bottom line. They had a problem. The police came. They had a disaster. That sums it up accurately.

But of course for you defenders of every action the police take, we can also say that this was police work at its finest. Correct?

And, many times controlled dogs become former pets. Odd that dogs who are tied/chained up and are absolutely no threat, are shot and killed by police. You're obviously trolling Google to find instances where dogs attack, why not do a Google search for the term - dogs shot by police while tied up - or - puppycide - and see the numerous media stories regarding those instances.

BTW, the story that you dredged up about the two pit bulls, those dogs were known to run loose and were reported at different times by neighbors. The dogs also had horribly scarred bodies (they were fighting dogs?). The woman who was attacked by the dogs was not the owner and she'd called 911 to report the attack. The cops knew that those dogs were dangerous before they even got there.

Like what was previously stated comparing the story you dredged up to the story in the OP .. "Totally different case".

Oh please, you can Google the names of the girl and/or the cop and find the story on pretty much any media site that fits your style.

This story hasn't received national attention nbecause it was a 4 year old white girl that was shot. If the cop shot a 4 year old black girl the media would be falling all over themselves stoking the fire and riots would be still going.

If there's no riots, it's because white people aren't organizing for the child. How is that the fault of black people? Obviously it is an incident that enraged them enough to protest, but not us, not their fault, now is it?

No one is faulting black people.

No one can predict what a Cop will do. They aren't concerned for your Dos welfare. Ant movement by the Dog can bring a hail of gunfire, regardless of who is in the room or behind the Dog. The Cop will shoot first, because that's what uncontrolled Cops do because they imagine a risk. Instead, they put everyone at risk.

Uncontrolled Cops should all be Former Cops.

Not to mention the chance that people may collaterally be shot as well.
