Ohio may be legal marijuana... Like other states that embrace it the costs will be high.. Social disorder from stoner behavior.
Those are some of the facts ...

Oh, I am sure that THC does have some useful medicinal properties ...

Why should people be fined for using the safest & most beneficial substance? Even caffeine & aspirin can kill, yet there is no public outcry that we need to ban them.

When I tie the question to "legalization" of unregulated over*the*counter sale of all drugs, I am simply trying to follow the logic of the proponents of the Libertarian idea of just allowing people to put into their own bodies whatever they want (which is what this is really about) ...

So, how many conditions do you think it helps? I think most conditions, it is non-toxic, so even if it doesn't help it doesn't harm. Wish we could get pills more likely to help & less likely to harm. But as long as there are huge profits for pill makers who may not help, but likely harm, how can we reform that business? They just don't value the 265,000 human lives they end per year in US as much as the $2 trillion a year they get in revenue in US. It's so sad for everyone who thinks we should be allowed to do what we think based on our studies, as to what will give us longer, healthier & happier lives.

Also, some like the idea of using it to prevent illnesses, something it can often help.

Many prescription drugs can cause fatalities from OD & even recommended doses. Nobody has ever achieved a fatal OD with cannabis. So, it is comparing unlike things.

Marijuana needs to be legal, because when it's sold over the counter, people won't overuse it and abuse it.

crazy.......

Decriminalization means no incarceration, but police either have to or may or may not issue a fine, which can be mailed in. Plus, it allows for incarceration &/or bigger fine for possession in motor vehicle, incarceration for people on parole or probation for past illegal drug or alcohol "offense" who possess.

Cannabis makes people peaceful if anything does. Yet you favor anti-depressants that make people violent? You are not a cannabis expert, but you said forced to be a NARC for 3 years? If your job description is like drug czar, it says do everything possible to prevent legalization. Prevent in anyway possible would certainly include making false & misleading statements.

Cannabis when smoked can cause dry mouth & coughing, but even those minor things are not a factor when vaporized. Nearly all negative studies don't even mention vaporizing, because they are recycling old study claims, which are also mostly false. Some have spent 40-50 years studying these plants & some have smoked it daily for 40-50 years, with no major health complaints.

High means it elevates mood, which helps people avoid committing suicide. Are you pro-suicide? Do you know anti-depressants don't elevate mood & the theory of chemical imbalance was used to design these pills for 60 years? Yes, based on nothing proven!

No, decriminalization means sellers go to prison, & those who buy/possess/use may be fined. Illegal means what you said for decriminalization is what happens, to those who aren't caught.

Legalization means regulated sales to a restricted population, e.g. those over the age of 21, by licensed vendors.

There isn't any stigma now, among those who know the truth. As for it being inappropriate for young persons, studies have shown a lack of serious harm in young people, same as adults. You shouldn't believe govt studies that had to say what the pill companies wanted, assuming you are interested in the truth. It's a plant used since Genesis by over 1 billion people, not something new & scary. Deaths may not exist as a result of using this plant, certainly no fatal ODs & doesn't cause fatal illnesses. CDC said deaths in 2010 were 0. It's probably the most studied plant ever. Wikipedia is a site not influenced by money.
