This is an instance where I the sheriff should pull up, bring him out back and promptly call the coroner. No judge or jury needed in this one.

The family is already claiming he snapped due to a traumatic brain injury he suffered years ago...too bad it didn't disqualify him from buying a gun.

One of my good friends was married to the love of her life and the father of her only child until he had a car accident and a severe head trauma. She had to divorce him because of his violent nature after the accident and her fear that he would hurt her or their son. The shooter wasn't a monster before his accident that caused his traumatic brain injury, so the issue should be about keeping arms away from people who are ill equipped to handle them. I'm all for the right to bare arms, but I'm also pro keeping them out of the hands of people up to no good. Some day I hope this country wakes up and realizes that we need tighter gun control and that the people that carry them need to be tightly regulated as well. This is yet another tragic example of someone carrying a gun that had no business having one. This poor man was not a thug or a monster. Brain injuries are a complex medical issue and I've dealt with violent people post traumatic brain injuries before at work. They literally can't help it. Whom ever was involved in his life was ignorant to the fact that he should not have access to a gun. Had they been aware the waitress may very well have only been punched, and with us today.

Lethal injection or cut off his hands so he can't ever fire a gun.

Here, the death penalty would be appropriate. Regardless of his brain injury, the society would be far better off if he is removed from the flock. No point wasting money feeding him and trying to treat him for whatever he supposedly suffers from.

Its sad its come to the point in this world where you can't enjoy you scattered, smothered, and covered without having to duck for cover.

Sad this young woman lost her life to such a senseless tragedy over something so pointless. My thoughts and prayers are with her, her family, and society as a whole as these incidents are increasing at such rates it's as if the devil just opened the spigot all the way

That should read "There are crazy people everywhere with guns. It's a really bad luck if you meet them."

No, but it certainly makes it easier to do so on impulse.

Yes--well the crazy person could have gone after the server with a butter knife, but probably wouldn't have had time to kill anyone.
