And it could be worse. Imagine sitting next to this - it took this 747 15 minutes to get on the ground after this cargo door blew out.

Or this? It also took 15 minutes, after 18 feet of this 737's roof peeled away in flight, for the pilot to get the plane back on the ground.
I remember that incident that happened in Hawaii. I was always amazed that the entire front section didn't break off completely. NTSB said that 737 was a short-haul plane between the islands, and had an overly large amount take off & landing cycles for its total flying hours. Metal fatigue caught up with it.

And that is why, oh best beloved, that you keep your seat belt fastened while in flight, regardless of what the seat belt sign is saying.

What's the old saying? Any landing you can walk away from is a good one?

A pilot once told me that landing is easy, that the most dangerous part is taking off.

I think that having 30,000 feet below you is nice, and that "nice" diminishes as the number reduces.

Well, you're just making me want to hop right onto a plane and take a flight tonight!

Now cruising at altitude? Ugh
I agree about landing. My favorite thing is to 'rate' the landing. I often tell the pilot if the rating is especially high.
