A man who had been released from prison after serving 10 years for a road rage killing has been shot and killed during another road rage encounter in Florida.
Col. Donna Lusczynski of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office tells local media the incident occurred during Wednesday morning rush hour in Plant City. She says 40-year-old Gary Lynn Durham stopped his pickup truck, got out and approached the motorist behind him. An argument escalated between the two.
Investigators say the car's driver, 42-year-old Robert Padgett, warned Durham before he pulled out a gun and shot him. What exactly happened remains unclear, but investigators are calling it a road rage death, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Obviously some people just don't know when to carry on and forget about it. You never know who is packing heat these days
Another case of mentally ill person on the loose in society after prison.
There should never be any "after prison". When a crime is so severe that it justifies a prison sentence, that prison sentence should be for life. Prison is crime university. It's where criminals go to become hardened professional criminals. When we release them, we're proving to the world how stupid we are.
This is actually a example of the benefits of conceal carry. Knowing what we know of this guy it's safe to say he was in fact a threat to the shooter. As a result one less dangerous hot head in the world.
Few days ago there was also an incident in California where the driver of a Civic got angry that a SUV's windshield cleaning fluid sprayed on his car, and ended up chasing and shooting at the SUV (even though the driver of the SUV apologized for it).
Anyways, unfortunate that the guy from the news link never learned his lesson even after 10 years in prison. Some might even say it was karma.
Apparently that douche bag never learned his lesson. I guess many people don't change.
Recently a minivan driver changed lanes without looking and almost hit my car, and immediately followed another minivan too closely and got in front of it and almost called a multi-car accident.
And, crazies like these are exactly why I choose to not be confrontational when out and about. Unless its a matter of self defense, I tend to avoid and remain calm as I don't know what crazy I'm dealing with on that particular day.
