Same with shagging another dude while getting tag teamed by one of his sweaty friends, while another one of his bros is filming. Sounds like she wanted her ex to feel cucked.

I'm sorry this woman saw fit to take her life over her mistake, but she did open the door herself. She should have known better.
People are assuming that she killed herself because just of the leaked sex tape. That's very unlikely. It could be a factor, but it's probably not the only one. The article mentioned she had attempted suicide twice before. She probably had depression over who knows what else going on in her life. Just because she committed suicide because the sex tape caused her a lot of personal problems doesn't mean she would still be alive if it hadn't existed.

This case reminds me of the 2010 suicide of Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers university student who killed himself immediately after his roommate, Dharun Ravi, surreptitiously recorded him on a webcam while he was having a romantic liaison with another male student, then posted it on social media. The public was calling for Ravi's head, saying that he "caused" Clementi's suicide. Some people went so far as to say he needed to be charged with murder. Ultimately Ravi was expelled from Rutgers and charged with invasion of privacy but nothing really came of it. Sure, he acted like a slimeball and did a horrible thing to his roommate, but ultimately Clementi made the decision to kill himself and carried through with it. Afterward, Clementi's parents disclosed that the mother wasn't accepting of his homosexuality and her rejection was a big cause of Tyler's depression. Thus, there were several possible causes for his suicide, no person could be charged with any serious crime, and doing so would set a dangerous legal precedent.

Here is an article on the case:

She tried twice before since the videos were put online...not all articles are clear, but some are.

I think its wrong to decide why she killed herself...her family reports she was severely depressed after the tape leaked. She was changing her name, moved, quit her job. She had an entire country mocking her.

Again, no one is claiming that posting the video on the internet was right. Of course it was morally wrong no matter the motivation and IMO there should be legal consequences for people who do this sort of thing. That still does not absolve the woman of her responsibility in the matter nor make her an innocent victim. I also feel that if a person willingly makes such an embarrassing video AND knowingly and purposefully shares that video with others that should be taken into consideration.

People need to start accepting personal responsibility for their own actions and stop crying victim and blaming others for their own bad choices.

Is it not true? Actually its more than insensitive to do so. If being told to own your own insensitive actions towards others is insensitive...well

Insensitive yes, in accurate?-no. As the other member eloquently stated: "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes".

She chose to die like that. A name change, change of hair style and another year of patience and she would have been forgotten as the internet has a short memory and new "uhmm.... "material" is constantly being added. Then again, the Are you filming?- Bravo! line has staying power- but only for so long.

The Clementi situation is sort of similar to the creep who took that photo of a nude lady in the gym dressing room and posted it on social media. Thankfully, that lady didn't kill herself and has filed a lawsuit against the perpetrator, as far as I know.

The huge distinction being that the gym lady and Tyler Clementi were not aware of being photographed/recorded and did not send/post anything to anyone, whereas this woman voluntarily "starred" in the videos and deliberately distributed them to several others. To believe no one would leak the videos is either incredibly naive (especially since she was 31, not an inexperienced teenager), or just plain stupid.

And since we are speculating, maybe she did expect the videos to be released but counted on a different, more positive reaction.

It sounds like she was a bit unstable to begin with having had two prior suicide attempts. It was a poor decision on her part to share that video with friends. Really, what do you think is going to happen? She seems unstable to me and if it wasn't a leaked sex tape then something else could have pushed her over the edge.

What's sad is that she never got the proper help before she made the tape.

Intentionally "leaked" sex tapes have been the catalyst for several reality celebs as well as to jumpstart acting careers etc. Kardashian, Hilton just to name two of the most prominent.

In some countries you can't do porn and be accepted....but the "leaked" sex tape is another story.
