What does having 4,000 rooms have anything to do with it? The previous guests in her room could of been from a bed bug country. That is usually how they initially get here.

Better get it under control or the hotel will have them.

"bed bug country"?? They are all over the world. It only takes one to stow away in some luggage (along the seam) or in some clothes. Then check-in to the room, and lay eggs. They aren't going to go explore the rest of the hotel though, so yeah the number of rooms doesn't matter. They will stay right there on the mattress/bed/comforter and reproduce, feed, or wait.

It sucks, and I'm certain something like this can really put a major drag on, if not ruin someone's vacation. (not sure if I missed it), but we will see if she sues for her vacation, her medical bills, pain, and maybe a little more, or if she is another one of these people that wants 200 million for getting some bug bites.

Many hotels have active campaigns with exterminators coming through regularly. When someone brings the bugs in it and the next person gets bit it is not really the hotel's fault. So how much should the hotel be expected to cover?

Yes, thanks captain obvious. You don't know the timeframe or if this one even does. Kind of a moot point to try to make right now.

P.S. Even if they did, if you have ever been anywhere in the Caribbean, you would know that they don't exactly hold everything to a high standard, (such as quality pest control).

It's not unheard of for the best hotels in the world to get bed bugs. But, hundreds? Just seems like there would be an issue before it got that bad. Hotels are supposed to check for stuff like that and I would think if suddenly a person got bit by hundreds of bed bugs then during one of the inspections at least 1 bed bug would have been found.

The quick video they show, its hard to tell. I have been in a hotel where they got bedbugs in a room before. Supposedly they spread very quick, and that looked isolated, (only because they didn't show much, or many dead), which could have happened very quickly (as in a few days). Also if you look at her bites; the ones on her forearm came first. The ones on her upper arms came at least a day later.

Just heard again, that she has gone through 3 lawyers, has refused compensation for her medical bills, and is looking to get a LARGE payout.
