Yet another compelling reason to not do anything else whilst one is texting....
Why is this so hard for certain segments of our society to understand?
I agree. Even the most important message can wait a moment to walk to the side, sit down on a bench or other place in a safe location. Don't even get me started on the idiots who are at a red light, look down while texting and start rolling forward while the light is still red.
Dont know if her identity is known, but if it gets out she will be the laughingstock of the year.
It's a shame that you are laughing at the misfortune of a person who is legally blind.
Yes, she should have been paying more attention to her walking than she was paying to her phone, but--as is so often the case--there was much more to this story than so many people assumed at the outset.
At least one person in this thread has the sense to think beyond the more obvious aspects...
lol. All the more reason the silly fool should watch where she's walking. Presumably, she knows she's legally blind. The only "more" to this story is that she's both blind and stupid.
It appears more facts about this story are falling into place. Perhaps more details will tumble out of this story.
Glad shes not badly injured though. If she was not distracted by the phone she certainly might have spotted a door sticking up from the ground. She clearly can view the screen. It was not wise....
There was a woman a couple of months ago that walked into the side of a moving train which knocked her on her arse. She was lucky she didn't get killed.
