Of course, she claims she was "policed" because of her race. AA reached out to her and her "team," apologized, and offered a full refund She doesn't think that's enough.

It doesn't appear that other passengers complained, nor should they have. Whose business is it how someone else dresses?

As for being humiliated, be sure to scroll down for her video on the USA Today post.

They made a mistake. It’s not indecent so they should have ignored it.

That's it.

And the airline staff need training if they're acting outside of airline regs--which they're doing, since AA didn't back them up. This is hardly the first time this kind of thing has happened, followed by an apology from corporate.

She was flying from the Bahamas to Miami.

Normally I'd say you shouldn't have your a$$ hanging out of your drawers at that age and weight (no, this is not 'fat' shaming). However, on that flight, some of those inter island planes are so small, there isn't any air conditioning or you are up and down so quick the flight never cools off.

You'd think she would have more common sense.

Probably should not have worn it, not completely inappropriate but close.

Googling her name, it appears she does "trauma counseling" sometimes with canines, sounds pretty much like a life coach, in a business she owns.

She no longer submits payments to insurance, (read, insurance doesn't pay for her services) but will provide itemized bills so that her patients can advocate for themselves with their providers.

Um hm. I was just really struggling to picture her in a lab coat with a stethoscope around her neck.

She looks pretty good in her lab coat in the interview I just saw on the news.

Not sure why you're slamming her business. She's a legit MD from one of the best med schools in the country.

I'm sure she did wear a lab coat for her TV interview.

What I don't get - and never will - is when someone whines that they were "humiliated" by being told they're dressed too skimpily, they post it all over the internet, with pics to prove how inappropriate their clothing was.

If I'm humiliated, you won't hear a word about it. That secret will die with me.

So? People handle things in different ways. Personally, I don't get why silly women sit online all the time Googling the names of total strangers.

The flight was a short hop in a hot climate. What a non-issue.

My point was that she looked pretty good in her lab coast, since it seemed too much of a stretch for you to imagine her in one.

This is a discussion, metlakatla, so I did google it to see more about her. I guess when you post responses on threads, you don't bother to discover more of the story, you just kind of shoot from the hip with no extra information.

According to the article, the two flight attendants who took issue with how she was dressed were BOTH black, so I'm not sure why she feels like it was a race issue?

I'm just picturing the physicians I've known all my life, who have treated me, my family, my kids. I can't NOT imagine them posting things on social media in a skimpy outfit whining that they were humiliated for wearing too little on a flight. I really CAN'T picture it, ANY of them doing that, and there are SO MANY doctors I've encountered.
