That guy is in for HORRIBLY painful treatments too!!! Anyone who has had serious burns knows what Im talking about! they basically have to remove all the effected skin.

Point taken. I think I'd rather take a bullet than get burned like that. Hot grease is a sustained burn where there is no quick relief.
Can you imagine someone saying, "Spare me the grease and please shoot me instead?"

I suspect Sassy was right - my guess is she put a half gallon of cooking oil in a pot on the stove, and waited for him to arrive.
I suspect she knew he was on the way, and kept that pot at the boiling point for awhile.
It's hard to imagine this was a mere coincidence - that she was cooking dinner and by the luck of timing had an enormous amount of hot grease to toss on his face.
