Well, it is interesting, when you have a name like Larondrick Macklin, there is no one else on the planet named that. And so you type it into google, and his girlfriend also has a name that no one else on the planet has.
Larondrick, don't pick a battle with a woman tougher than you. All I have to say.
I suspect Sassy was right - my guess is she put a half gallon of cooking oil in a pot on the stove, and waited for him to arrive.
I suspect she knew he was on the way, and kept that pot at the boiling point for awhile.
It's hard to imagine this was a mere coincidence - that she was cooking dinner and by the luck of timing had an enormous amount of hot grease to toss on his face.
Back in the 80s when I was young I worked in a print shop. We did business with a lot of other shop and in that trade at the time it was common practice for people to be working alone late at night. A lady from another shop was doing so one night and left the door open into the place. This creep came in, a large and unkempt type, threatening her and demanding money.
She was taping up typeset using Rubylith tape. And she was holding an Exacto knife. Basically a scalpel. He reached out to grab her and she lashed out with the knife catching him in the face with the cut continuing down to his chest. Oh my! She applied judicious force to the slash and it filleted him like a fish. In short she was quite victorious.
Weapons of opportunity can be more than effective. A pan of hot grease would be a very formidable tool. It would stop any potential attacker cold. LOL, no pun intended. Perhaps stop him hot would be more appropriate. At any rate a few weeks in a burn ward before going to jail stops any future crimes he might have committed.
It said he broke into her home. My guess is it took him a few minutes to get in which gave her time to think. She was probably cooking and stood to the side of the door waiting for it to give, then before he saw her there, she threw it on him as he walked in. That's the only explanation I can think of as to how she got grease on him before he could shoot her.
