I read that the families of the crew have been contacted, so that's not good. They do have an 96 hour air supply, so there's still hope. Since they lost contact less than 2 hours into the dive, no one really knows what happened. Hopefully, they made it to the surface somewhere and just need to be found.
There's no way I would pay money to go down to the bottom of the ocean, especially in a tiny craft like that.
Even if they "bob" to the surface, they cannot exit the submersible by themselves. They are sealed in.
"He added that because the passengers were sealed inside the vessel by bolts applied from the outside, "There's no way to escape, even if you rise to the surface by yourself. You cannot get out of the sub without a crew on the outside letting you out.""
The Titanic is about 12,500 or about 2 miles under sea.
That is about 300 atmosphere's of pressure or about 25,000 psi.
When I was in one of my diving classes years ago my instructor told me something about that kind of pressure that made it easy to understand the force of that pressure.
“You can’t dive that wreck and if you opened a high pressure scuba tank down there there would be water rushing into it as opposed to gas being released”.

Yeah, for the life of me I'll never understand why people willingly put themselves into such dangerous situations. And it's not like this wreck hasn't been explored extensively, with ample footage to boot for folks to look through.
Still, I won't be too critical here as this kind of work does open doors and advance technology in the area. It's just not something that you'll see me doing!
True. I don't like the idea of tourism especially.

It is a mass gravesite. Let whatever can live down there feed on the ship. Leave those people to rest in peace.
So it's okay to go to any number of foreign countries and run around graves for WW I and WW II American service men and go to Bergen Belsen and run around the mass graves of typhus victims, but it's not okay to look at a shipwreck?
