A true-crime YouTuber obtained gruesome autopsy pictures of 11-year-old Gannon Stauch and then charged $3 on Patreon for people to view the photos. Michael Allen, lead prosecutor in the murder trial of the child’s stepmother Letecia Stauch, called the YouTuber’s actions “outright disgusting” and “completely disrespectful to the family.”
States need to pass laws requiring a court order to release these types of pictures.

No where in the Constitution does it say, unless something is too gruesome.

I said "YouTuber" If you watched the video the person has a YouTube channel, they link to a Patrion page because YouTube will not monetize that kind of content.
Constitution has nothing to do with release of autopsy pictures. Judge can seal evidence states have laws to restrict who can get such information such as a autopsy report, or death certificates.
People with too much time on their hands truly is "Lucifer's Workshop"....
Unfortunately this is an instance of morbid curiosity, which is not a curiosity that is likely to go away anytime soon in society. Indeed, it seemingly is getting worse with more avenues and venues available through technology to provide content.
In a way it is a virtual form of "Rubbernecking". This online video form does not create miles long backups, traffic jams and dangerous driving conditions, however.
The people who recently perished in the submersible trying to get to the Titanic wreck were "rubberneckers" to a gruesome accident site to a degree. This, due to the difficulty, danger and expense a rather extreme form of morbid curiosity I suppose.

With fines and video/content takedowns I agree. Criminal charges with incarceration I think out of the question right now with not enough law enforcement, prisons, and citizens already outraged at high taxes and cost of living (so no new police staffing and prisons).
Presently, I think shoplifters are let go with no jail time if they steal less than $1,000 in merchandise due to no where to put them or staff to monitor them.

I remember when this came up with the Dale Earnhart autopsy photos, saying there were public records. I agree with the idea, but thought if you really want to see the pictures, you should have to drive down to the coronor's office to see them.

There are reasons to allow the pictures to be released such as a defendant is trying to get a new trial, or civil lawsuit is filed after a criminal conviction.
I found you can't get a death certificate unless you qualify such as a family member, or attorney representing a family member.

No one said what she did was illegal, just disgusting.
