Reminds me of this story, only this truck was hanging on only by the chains attached to the camper.

According to the article below, it was a four car accident. There was a car that broke down in the right lane which got hit by another car who ended up losing control, crossing into the oncoming traffic, hitting the truck, which ended up going through the guardrail.

Louisville semi-truck accident: Cause revealed that left driver dangling from bridge

Quote:
A semi-truck driver in Louisville, Kentucky, was stuck dangling over the side of a bridge Friday after being involved in a multi-vehicle accident, officials said.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said during a press conference Saturday that the woman who was rescued wasn’t physically harmed, and that she was brave and fortunate.

"Firefighter Bryce Carden was lowered from a ladder truck to the driver’s side of the rig to reach the driver," Greenberg said, adding to say that photos of the dramatic rescue have now been seen "around the world."

The woman was left dangling in her cab for 40 minutes before she was reached by a firefighter that pulled her to safety.

I heard the cause was an electric vehicle that unaccountably "stalled" in the middle of the bridge. A woman had just bought it from Carvana and is complaining that they won't buy it back!

The weight should pull it down.

the link pin is to hold the heavier trailer to the cab, so the lighter cab - childs play.

I also saw this live on the tube, if you look at the 360* views after she was pulled from the cab, the whole damn thing was held up by the fuel tank for the trailer reefer unit.

so for about and hour the driver was in the cab staring at freezing water over 100 ft below, there is no surviving that plunge free fall, let alone in a truck.

Im betting she was in attendance that sunday if ya know what I mean.

Not to take anything away from the first responder, but was he ever in any actual danger? I assume he was securely harnessed and attached to something secure the whole time! The driver was in danger until the rescuer reached her.
