bicycles are unsafe on public roads. This thread belongs in a non automotive area of the forum. Only idiots think biclces can replace cars and trucks. But I bet they think 80 year old people would be better on bicycles than in a car. Pure stupidity! Just like joggers, bicyclers croak from over stressed hearts. Want a bicycle? Ride it in the park.

Although I am a car guy (I own 4 cars; 3 of them classics), I try to bicycle a few times a week.

And I use my bike quite often to run some errands, like buy stamps or mail some letters. In fact, I kept bicycling all these years after my High School days (I biked to school, too).
