I didn't get up till 6:45, it is a good thing they canceled classes today
They have testing all week in the mornings why do I have a feeling the kids would rather have us than the tests.
Today is well lol I am not sure my mind is not quite awake yet
Woo hoo Sandy your having a heat wave !!! Doyou have any snow left or has it all melted?
I think I am going to do some running around after I "tread on the mill"
I want to drop some tax stuff off at the accounts I have to get ink for my printer I had to print the general ledger from Quick Books and it was 62 pages got the "low ink" warning at page 42 now the darn thing flashes at me every-time the printer comes out of "sleep mode"
CD had a great idea we are going to start a Employee of the Month program at the business So I want to see where you can get those plaque thingys where we can put their name and the monthly winners picture.
Shadow, Mickey & I have been out hunting this morning. It is so nice that Mickey is finally feeling her old self again and came with us. Not so sure she liked the snow.....
Karla, at my house there is still a good 8 inches of snow on the ground. My house is at the bottom of a hill and when the wind blows everyone else's snow blows to my yard. It has gotten above freezing the last couple of days and then below freezing at night so the top layer is now pretty solid. Supposed to hit 50 here today with the chance for some rain so I am hoping that some of this goes away. At the barn there is a LOT of mud that in the mornings is a solid sheet of ice, but only a couple of inches left on the ground.
One of the horses has a strange, unexplained large area of swelling on an upper leg. It is one of the show horses, so this morning we are taking him to the very busy really good vet in Muncie (about 45 minutes away with a horse trailer). At first we were thinking it was a spider bite but it is still spreading, so we are going to have him checked out.
We will also be taking Casino with us to have his stitches removed. We could have done it ourselves, but he has a bad habit of stomping his feet when you touch his leg. Better to let the vet do it. Our local vet could do it, but it is $100 just for them to pull in the driveway plus whatever they do. It won't cost us any extra to take him along with us.
Sooooo, in about 10 minutes Shadow & I will head to the barn to hunt mousies, then she will hang out while we go to the vet.

Most office supply have them Karla, and if you have publisher on your computer you probably have a template for them
We have dirty snow left, lots of ice on the snow and in the walks. I think that someone fell last night down by the community mail boxes, we had fire, police and ambulance down there........I thought the place was burning down!
Gotta get and begin this drive into Fort Wayne.
Hope the horse checks out okay Evey. Sorry you still have that much snow left, I see grass (brown grass but grass none the less).
Sandy the neighborhood I live in used to be a rock quarry. My house is at the very bottom of the hill. Wind does not blow here and I am often caught off guard when I drive up the hill at how windy it is. There is also a lot of trees, so I don't get as much sun.
I happen to enjoy the snow and will miss it when it is gone.
Evey that sounds like a cool neighborhood what kind of rock did they mine?
I also hope everything goes well with the horses today
Sandy I don't think I have that on my computer I will check at office Max when I get ink
Somehow I am going to use this to mess with CD when I get the wooden plaque thing made before I send it to him I am going to put my picture & a piece of paper with my name taped to the first month even though I don't technically count, but after getting his house under contract so fast I deserve it lol

No, Karla...you don't deserve employee of the month...You deserve Employee of the YEAR!!!
Evey, safe trip and I hope the horses are both ok.
Yes, folks..I did get up and walk today - 3 miles! Woohoo! Got home, had a cup of coffee and a couple of biscotti that DH made yesterday....soooo good (maple pecan). Sat, read the paper. THen DH says "what are we having for dinner tonight? That turkey I bought??" Uh, no...you'll be baking all day, so we'll be in each other's way. "Well, I won't start baking till 2 or 3 this afternoon, so we can have an early dinner before I start." Great. Jump up, run in, shower, dress, run to store because we needed stuffing, chicken stock and potatoes for the turkey ("honey, can you pick up a couple of things for me while you're there??"), ask DH to clean up the sink area from yesterday's baking, come home to find he's cleaned the turkey (yay!), but has left a bunch of canteloupe on the counter, stuff the turkey, throw it in the oven and then finish my morning chores. I don't see how this is going to work out. We aren't going to be eating till 2:30 - 3:00 and I'll be cleaning up while he's baking. This should be fun. Any volunteers to help??? There'll be no charge for the entertainment while you're here.....
I'll come down Pattie if I can be paid with a turkey dinner and cookies for desert!
51 degrees here! Sun is gone now but still balmy out there. Thought I would check in before going for my walk. Have to wash my everyday coat too, got make up on it when the wind chill was so horribly cold.
