Doggone it, my dh was out doing some yardwork, raking and generally cleaning up after this crapola winter, but he got a better offer, and off to buddyville he went. Just as well, my laundry's been calling so loudly, the neighbor's are probably ready to call the cops!
Maybe I'll try to sneak in some exercising while he's gone.
jeannie, hope your son feels better, and tlb-maybe doubling up on the medicine will help,
Evey, sounds like a blast! I bet it was pretty funny taking them 'birthday shopping'!!!
miguel's mom good to have you back! Karla, have fun with your sewing project!
charley, keep up the good work!

Hey everybody.
I'm back from NM and in San Antonio at my brothers house now as of last night.
Our place was supposed to close this past Friday but some glitch in the paperwork so hopefully that will be straightened out this coming week and then we can close. We came back from NM on Friday and went ahead and got the stuff packed to bring to my brothers house and got it cleaned up really good so the house is ready to move in for the buyers.
I haven't read the past weeks posts but Jeannie and TLB, I hope you TLB and your son Jeannie get yourselves well soon.
My dog is enjoying being around her cousins, a black lab named Logan and a chow named Shaggy. Logan and Shaggy are not quite used to the parrot yet. I think they look at him as dinner.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Cheryl

No time for chores or yardwork in my neck of the woods. We're too busy walkin in the desert, taking advange of the cool temperatures during this time of the year, prior to the big heat of the summer months. We took a 7 mile stroll on the the horsethief bench loop yesterday, and a shorter five mile loop down the rough creek canyon and return via the Tabaguache trail. In this cooler than normal year, the desert is finally showing some signs of coming back to life...a few flowers blooming and the hillsides showing a faint sign of green. Looking foward to some slightly warmer temperatures, fewer clouds, and a gentler breeze. All things considered, it's still pretty nice out there. Sure beats doing yardwork or chores!

Karla

All winter long, most of my loops went thru the neighborhood. Too muddy on the desert trail loops unless you get up early and walk while everything is frozen. I'm too lazy for that most of the time, especially on workdays when I'm already ready getting up too early.
