Charley, the research your talking about sounds interesting. I'd like to hear some of it.
It's really boring.

My hypothesis was that mental practice was just as good as physical practice in certain athletic skills.

I had two groups of phys. ed. majors as subjects. Each subject was tested for their ability to shoot basketball foul shots.

Then, the physical practice group practiced shooting foul shots for three days. The mental practice group THOUGHT about shooting foul shots (imagining the ball going through the hoop) but were not allowed to pick up a basketball.

After three days they were tested again. Both groups improved their ability to shoot foul shots.

See? Really boring!

Charley

P.S. I'd much rather talk about oreos

Based on my prior research, my hypothesis is that thinking about eating the oreo is not nearly as pleasing as actually eating the oreo.

Bon apetit.

Charley

GOod news, all. The Dr's office called with the results of my bloodwork, and my cholesterol reading is lower than it's ever been! w00t, w00t!

So, to celebrate, we stopped at Publix and picked up some ice cream! LOL

Hello friends. Just checking in. I finally got my new step work-out tape and did it this morning. Now, I'm on Ebay trying to win some summer outfits for my daughter. I love an auction.
