I'm hoping the same as you, Charley. Best wishes to your friends.
Already did some "labor" this a.m. First, did my abs and butts exercises, then biked over to the gym for about 20-25 min. of weights. Arm's still bothering me. Naturally, I haven't called the dr. yet. That would make too much sense.
Got home, swept up the half bag of bird seed I'd knocked over on my way out of the garage w/the bike. Fed the birds, put out our new bistro set on the patio after I swept it, swept out the rest of the garage, picked up around the house. I think I need to clean the kitchen floor and the bathrooms today. Yep, the proverbial chisel will be out. Maybe even some laundry.
Hey, Karla...you only have 84% humidity? Get your sweaters out! It was 100% here this morning, and, boy, am I a-glowin', baby.
We made it to Indiana at 11:00 last night. It was a torturesome drive as the trailer is too heavy for the tow vehicle and 50 was the top spped that was controllable. Ugh! The lead foot's nightmare! Other than that the trip was uneventful. Shadow is happily out chasing bunnies in the hay field and Mickey is trying to figure out if she wants to stay under the bed or come out & investigate.
I have been in serious withdrawl since I brough my computer down on Tuesday. I was having electrical problems and my back up battery was doing wierd things, so I just brought it down & packed it. Now I am going to have to learn to deal with this slow ***** dial up connection (I know many people have it, but I have always had a super fast connection and patience is not exactly my middle name).
It was a glorious 56 degrees here this morning. It is up to 68 now on the way to 90. No humidity to speak of. After spending 2 days in a vehicle with no A/C it is nice to be able to walk outside without "glowing".
Now I will go sort through 5 days of e-mail.......

Yay, Evey! Glad you're "home" safe and sound. You were much in my thoughts and I'm glad the trip was mostly uneventful. I hear ya about the leadfoot problem and the dial up. Been there....
Just in case you miss the Florida weather....we had rain and wind from Gustav all weekend and the humidity this morning was a wonderful 100%. Talk about your glow! However, the sun is shining and we are looking at a few days of nice weather. Until and if Hannah decides to pay a visit, that is.
Well, don't be a stranger. We've missed you something fierce. Don't worry - MIckey'll come out eventually.
welcome back evey !!!
we have missed you
must of been an interesting trip
56 degrees !!!!!! please share
well the yard work is all done ended up spending almost 4 hours out there
and I came in the the pendant light installation experience
sigh I think there is drywall dust on everything
and who would of "thunk" one of my steak knives would be utilized for a drywall knife
Glad you made it safely Evey.
Did my climbing today. I'm hoping I don't run into rattlesnakes or anything. I saw a dead one today.
Happy Labor Day to you all.
I'm thinking about getting one of those Malibu Pilates thingys. I fell for the infomercial last night although I want to get it off ebay.
