Dual Prof couple with 3 and 6 yr old girls relo'ing in the next Qtr to this area for my wife's new job in Denton... looked over the various forums for Flowermound and related areas...

Idea home:
4000+ sq ft, 4+ bedrms and baths, 3+ car garage, at least 1/3 acre (not looking to live on top of our neighbors.... nice to have includes pool, fenced yard, some trees, sidewalks, near parks - maybe in a country club neighborhood? would consider gated entry - looking for top quality neighborhood and of course, good schools, (public and private), looking for active community, shopping and the like - needs to be near a good route to DFW (1hr or less commute).... am familiar with Frisco/Plano - also hear nice things about the lake area... will consider spending up to $1MM, but would prefer to spend less than $750k...

Also have Grandma to relo and house, so am also interested in smaller 2/3 brdrm townhouses and or free-standing homes in the $150-$175k range that would be within 5 miles of whatever home we buy

What does this brain trust think? Thanks!

Castle Hills in Lewisville has the homes you describe including the lot size. It also has a zero lot line neighborhood for the in-law arrangement and townhomes as well. Very popular for that purpose.

Argyle, Bartonville has the homes with the lot size but accessibility to everything else is lacking.

I was thinking Saddlebrook in Bartonville...not sure about the lot sizes, but plenty of houses that size in that price range, and Lantana across the street for the in-laws.

Very true. Bridlewood is a fantastic community. I was there about 2 weeks ago and there is one house that I can't get out of my mind. The backyard was absolutely amazing. The owners told us that they spent about 250K for the outdoor pool and kitchen. And it showed!

Is your wife going to be in her office everyday ? If you prefer a lake community a options Highland Village top rated community close to other areas with for "Grandma" , Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, Grapevine, Flower Mound Hope that assist with any questions you may have. Non Lake communities Southlake, Colleyville, Coppell, also within the top 10 communities in DFW area.
