What it boils down to is that middle class people, regardless of race, want the same things. They want good schools, affordable living, and saftey. Im glad to see Collin and Denton counties diversifying. They are following the model of Fort Bend county in greater Houston which is the most diverse county in Texas. In 15-20 years, theyll be right along side it.

just read an interesting article about the growth of ethnoburbs in parts of California and Washington state--
in CA the area cited --Asians were the majority ethnicity--upscale and monied and speaking Mandarin and Cantonese according to the article
in Washington state the town has majority Hispanic/Latino ethnicity--again not referring to something like central LA with poverty and gangs but middle income or above
the gist of the article was that like seeks like in country where ethnicity still matters (like the US)

I don't care what color my neighbors are as long as they keep their properties tidy, are quiet and leave me alone, and aren't trashy or loud.

My neighbors are mostly white but there's also 2 black families and 1 Latino family that I am 100% sure of on this block. I admit it's hard to tell sometimes if Latinos live here or just work here since a lot of my neighbors have Latino lawn services or Latino domestics. I think there's an Indian family on this block as I see the same Indian family walking past on a regular basis, but I honestly don't know if they live on this street or an adjacent one. I have also seen Asians and various configurations of interracial couples around.

So did Fort Bend county see their property values rise and their TEKs scores rise after the county became more diverse?

Did crime rates remain the same or go lower?

The article mentions Cedar Hill.

Is there any suburb that dropped more in value in the DFW region?

Oh, baloney. Middle class people are middle class people regardless of race. We all want the same thing.
